200th Australian winner for Stravinsky

21 Aug 2012

Cambridge Stud’s Stravinsky chalked up a significant milestone on Monday of this week when siring his 200th individual winner in Australia.

Floor Show (Stravinsky ex Celtic Queen, by Sadler’s Wells) provided the result when successful in maiden company at Goulburn (NSW) for trainer Guy Walter and owners, the Waratah Thoroughbreds Syndicate.

While 200 individual winners in one country is an impressive, it should be noted that Stravinsky has had 135 in Japan, 133 in America and 140 in New Zealand.  In fact, he is the sire of 792 individual winners worldwide!

For the record, Stravinsky’s progeny have won 2628 races worldwide inclusive of 70 individual black type winners who have collectively won 137 stakes races.

Stravinsky stands at a fee of $22,500 + gst and a live foal guarantee applies.
