Black Type & four straight for Innovation

22 Jun 2012

Innovation, a three-year-old filly by Keeper, looked well above average when taking out today’s Team Wealleans Tauranga Classic-LR (1400m) at Gate Pa.

Bred and raced by The Oaks Stud, Innovation took the widest course for Jason Collett and in winning made it four straight victories.

In a big result for Keeper, Happyto Keepa (ex My Happiness, by Kaapstad) was third in the race with Sacha (ex Viva Romance, by Machiavellian) fourth home.

Innovation, who is prepared by Ralph Manning at Cambridge, is one of four winners from the Grosvenor mare, Miss Grosvenor.  This is the family of the Caulfield Cup-Gr.1 and Australasian Oaks-Gr.1 winner Imposera.
