Cambridge Stud welcomed the arrival of a Stravinsky colt from Rose of Tralee yesterday.
It’s a significant foaling as the colt is a brother to Serenade Rose, Australia’s Champion 3YO Filly of 2006. Serenade Rose’s 8 wins included the VRC Oaks-Gr.1, AJC Australian Oaks-Gr.1 and STC Arrowfield Stud Stakes-Gr.1. She also won three Group Two races, namely the VRC Wakeful Stakes, Edward Manifold Stakes and MRC Angus Armanasco Stakes.
It is the ninth foal for Rose of Tralee (Sadler’s Wells ex Circus Ring, by High Top) who produced a colt by Street Cry last year. The mare has had 7 foals to race and 6 have been successful.
So far this season 37 foals have been born at Cambridge Stud.
