Even though the favourite for the Cambridge Stud Eight Carat Classic (G2) Keeper filly Insouciant (Loudenne (Palace Music) failed to fire today, the race still became a Cambridge Stud sires' benefit race.

Stravinsky filly, Satinka (Miss Saigon (Kings Island) showed her class in securing her second GR2 win in the Eight Carat Classic after previously winning the Robin, Duke of Bedford Matamata Breeders Stakes (G2) in February this year.

The Lance O'Sullivan/Andrew Scott trained filly has now  won over $128,000 in stakes.

Up and coming Viking Ruler filly, Pretty Vegas (Straight Show (Straight Strike)) ran strongly down the outside to take second in the closely fought race.

Not to be outdone, Keeper produced third place-getter in Keepa Cruisin (Just Cruising (Broad Reach)). Winner of the GR 1First Sovereign Trust Levin Classic in late November, Keepa Cruisin has earned her owners stakes of over $250,000 prior to today.
