Cambridge Stud Sires' Star At RTR Sales

Cambridge Stud sire were to the fore in the top price bracket of horses sold at the 2008 Karaka Ready To Run Sales conducted by New Zealand Bloodstock.

The second highest price of the first day of the sales came at Lot 93 with the Zabeel colt from Macanudo (Kingdom Bay) bought by Graeme Rogerson for $320,000. From a half-sister to the dam of Queensland Oaks winner Vouvray, the colt offered by Phoenix Park did not breeze up.

The third top price of the sale's first day was for a Keeper x Jazzmatazz colt sold by Phoenix Park and bought by C McAnulty for $300,000.

Keeper was the leading sire by average (4 or more lots sold) on day one with an aggregate of $486,000 and an average of $121,500 for a total of four lots sold.

Zabeel also had a colt ex I'm In Heaven bought by Rogerson Bloodstock for $260,000 and sold by Mania Park.

There was a Viking Ruler x Pastel colt sold by Chequers Stud and bought by Waikato Bloodstock for $170,000.
