Cambridge Stud to Host Alamosa at Waikato Stallion Parade

4 Aug 2009

Alamosa, a Group One winner in both

New Zealand
and

Australia
and now standing at Wellfield Lodge in Palmerston North, will make the trek north to join the Waikato Breeders' popular stallion parade on the weekend of 29 & 30 August.

Named Champion NZ 3YO at last year's Mercedes Awards, Alamosa will be paraded at Cambridge Stud in conjunction with the likes of
Zabeel, Keeper, Viking Ruler and Lucky Unicorn.

"We are very grateful to the Waikato Branch and particularly to Sir
Patrick Hogan for creating this unique opportunity to put Alamosa in front of breeders based in the upper
North Island," said Hugh Taylor of Wellfield Lodge.

Sir
Patrick Hogan made the offer to Wellfield Lodge to include Alamosa in the
Waikato parade.

"Alamosa is an important newcomer stallion and I felt it important that he had the opportunity to be viewed during the Waikato Stallion Parade weekend," Sir Patrick told NZTM this week.
