Ashford Stud manager Dermot Ryan also confirmed Coolmore recently lost 16-year-old broodmare Tacha (dam of European champion, Irish freshman sire &  Cambridge Stud shuttler One Cool Cat) when she "hemorrhaged & died after producing a healthy Johannesburg filly," reported
thoroughbredtimes.com.

Tacha (Mr Prospector-Savannah Dancer, by Northern Dancer) was purchased privately from WinStar Farms in 2003 when One Cool Cat was Europe's champion 2YO colt. WinStar principals Bill Casner & Kenny Troutt previously purchased Tacha for US$2.2 million (in-foal to Seattle Slew) at the 2000 Keeneland January horses-of-all-ages sale. And Coolmore agent Demi O'Byrne bought One Cool Cat (by Storm Cat) on behalf of Magnier and Tabor for US$3.1 million at the 2002 Keeneland July selected yearling sale.

One Cool Cat stands at Coolmore Ireland in County Tipperary and his first northern hemisphere crop already features 11 individual winners including four individual stakes winners - Diglett, Icesolator, Knavesmire and Smokey Storm. His New Zealand base is Cambridge Stud where his book is already full for the 2008 breeding season.
