Denman-Superstar From Superstar Top Line

Australia's superstar 3YO, Denman, made it 9 wins from 11 starts when trouncing his opposition in Saturday's Group Three Autumn Stakes at Caulfield.

The Peter Snowden-trained class act has a top line to his pedigree which reads champion-after-champion for five generations.

For a start, Denman is by Lonhro whose 26 victories included 11 at Group One level. Lonhro, in turn, is by Octagonal who was bred, raised and sold by Cambridge Stud and went on to win 14 races, with no fewer than 10 of those being Group One prestige races.

Octagonal was, of course, by Zabeel who continues to do remarkable things from his home at Cambridge Stud. He currently sits at 126 individual black type winners.

Zabeel is by Sir Tristram, the champion stallion who stood at Cambridge Stud throughout his illustrious stud career. At one time he was the world's leading sire of individual Group One winners.
