Double strike for Tavistock

Double strike for Tavistock3 Dec 2019

Tavistock was at the double this week when he sired a winning double at the Counties meeting at Pukekohe.
His daughter Shanqueen broke her maiden in fine style before first-timer Kissinger was successful.
Raced by breeder Gerald Shand, Shanqueen enjoyed a perfect run on the pace and rallied strongly to shed her novice tag.
She was ridden by Leith Innes for trainer Peter and Dawn Williams.
Shanqueen is out of the Keeper mare Beauty Queen and the family of the Gr.1 Thorndon Mile winner Stolen Dance.
Kissinger also looks a horse to follow after he produced a sterling effort for a first-up win over 1600 metres.
Prepared by Nigel Tiley, the four-year-old overcome a wide run to triumph, also in the hands of Innes.
He was bred by Peter Setchell and was purchased at Karaka by part-owner Tiley for $52,500.
Kissinger is out of Berlin Belle, a Black Minnaloushe mare who is a half-sister to the Gr.3 Gold Trail Stakes winner Zimo Belle.
