Fifth Black Type Win For Son Of Keeper

29 Apr 2011

Hardy galloper Keepin’ The Dream landed his fifth stakes race when proving too strong in today’s A$151,500 XXXX Gold Hawkesbury Rowley Mile-LR (1600m).

The six-year-old son of Keeper and Irish Nassie (by Nassipour) has been something of a Country Cups specialist, having earlier in his career won the Hawkesbury Cup-Gr.3, Scone Cup-LR, Gosford Cup-LR and Newcastle Newmarket Handicap-Gr.3.

It continued the wonderful run of form for the stock of Keeper in recent weeks.

Last weekend Sworn To Secrecy won the Gr.2 Emancipation Stakes at Royal Randwick, while other notable black type wins for the stock of Keeper this season include Midnight Oil’s win in the Wellfield New Zealand Oaks-Gr.1 and Keep The Peace’s wins in the Mudgway Partsworld Stakes-Gr.1 & Otaki WFA Stakes-Gr.1.
