The very first foal by Cambridge Stud’s dual Group One-winning stallion Tavistock was born at Curraghmore Stud at 9.50pm on Tuesday night.
The bay filly is the first foal of the stakes-placed Reset mare Musigny (ex Laurel Avenue, by Avenue of Flags) and is owned by Nearco Stud Ltd.
“She’s a medium-sized filly with a good head,” Gordon Cunningham said today
“I’d describe her as a good foal for a maiden mare,” added Cunningham.
Tavistock (by Montjeu) covered a quality book of 127 mares in his initial season at Cambridge Stud last year. He won both the Mudgway Partsworld Stakes-Gr.1 (1400m) and Waikato Draught Sprint-Gr.1 (1400m) before retiring to stud.
