Zabeel has provided 4 of the 18 runners in Saturday's A$350,000 The Metropolitan-Gr.1 (2400m) at Royal Randwick in
The Zabeel foursome is Fiumicino (Darren Beadman), Zavite (Nash Rawiller), Six O'Clock News (Noel Harris) and Hume (Scott Galloway).
Fiumicino is already a dual Group One winner having taken out both the Australian Derby and The BMW in a career which has netted A$2.7m in prize money to date.
Zavite (Anthony Cummings), Six O'Clock News (Paddy & Trent Busuttin) and Hume (Brian Smith) are all group race winners, but yet to win at the elite level of competition. Should one of them claim The Metropolitan, they will become the 39
th individual Group One winner for Zabeel.
Zabeel recently commenced his 19
th year of stud duties at Cambridge Stud.
