Lad Of The Manor (ex Matrona, by Woodman) has been retired from racing.

Owner David Thomas told
Radio 4TAB: "He's been very good to us & we didn't want him to break down on the track. He's had stem cell treatment and has always had a niggling back problem. A lot of work was always done on him, but Roger (Hoysted former trainer) placed him with care & the results are there."

Lad Of The Manor recorded 13 wins during his racing career with his highlight performances including wins in the Group 1 Mackinnon Stakes (2000m) at Flemington and the Group 2 Daton Tan Chin Nam Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley as well as the Group 2 Waterford Crystal Mile (1600m) at Moonee Valley Group 2 JJ Liston Stakes at Caulfield and Group 2 Feehan Stakes (1600m) at Moonee Valley (twice).

He had a total of 38 starts for A$1,661,150 in stake-earnings.
