Sarajay (Danasinga ex Sriwijaya, by Last Tycoon) has produced her second foal, a bay colt by Zabeel, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The mare's first foal - also a colt by Zabeel - will be sold at next February's Karaka Premier Sale from the consignment of Cambridge Stud.

"By all accounts it was an uncomplicated birth," said Adrian Clark who owns Sarajay and raced her from the stable of John Sargent for 9 wins including the Group Two Gasmate Stakes (1600m) and the Group Two Travis Stakes (2000m).

Clark said that Sarajay, who was placed third in the Group One NZ Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes at Te Aroha behind Captivate & Irlanda, would return again to Zabeel this year.

"It's impossible to get too much of a good thing," said Clark who is the CEO of NZ Thoroughbred Marketing and breeds from a band of three broodmares.

"We are so lucky to have this world-class stallion on our doorstep and he's clicked brilliantly with Sarajay both times to date."
