Keep The Peace (Peace of Mind (Wild Rampage)) made a triumphant return to the track winning the Group 1 Mudgway Partsworld Stakes over 1400m at Hastings yesterday (28.8.10) with young champion jockey James McDonald aboard.
Fresh up from having raced last in March ths year, the Keeper mare fought hard for the win, withstanding a late charge by strong finishing Wall Street (2nd) and Fritzy Boy (3rd).
The 4 yr old will now be set for the Melbourne Spring carnival.
Keep The Peace has raced just ten times for five wins and three second placings. Her other wins include the Group 1 New Zealand Oaks (March 2010) and the Group 3 WRC Desert Gold Stakes (Jan 2010)
She also placed second in the Group 1 New Zealand One Thousand Guineas (Nov 2009) and second in the Group 3 Hawkes Bay Lowland Stakes (March 2010).
Keeper is the sire of 5 individual Group One winners.
