Keeper 3YO Filly Looks Special

8 Sep 2010

Sworn to Secrecy (Keeper ex Heartache, by Casual Lies) looked a filly out-of-the-ordinary when winning a 1200 metres maiden at Taupo yesterday by four-and-a-half lengths.

Prepared by Andrew Scott at Matamata and ridden by Michael Coleman,
Sworn to Secrecy raced wide just off the pace before unleashing a powerful sprint in the straight to draw away for an easy win.

Sworn to Secrecy was having her second start, having been placed second at her sole two year old outing behind Dating at Te Rapa.  The latter went on to win the Listed Ryder Stakes at Otaki.

Sworn to Secrecy could be seen out in black type company at her next start.  Andrew Scott has mapped out a path to the NZ 1000 Guineas at Riccarton Park in November.  The next mission is likely to be the Listed Soliloquy Stakes (1400m) at Ellerslie, 25 September.

Sold by Poplar Lodge at last year’s New Zealand Bloodstock Ready to Run Sale for $52,000,
Sworn to Secrecy is one of 4 winners from her dam Heartache, the others being One Night Stand (6 wins), Bear Heart (2 wins & twice stakes placed) and Tenko (3 wins and stakes placed at two).
