Cambridge Stud’s Danehill horse Keeper is currently the leading sire for individual winners in Hong Kong this season.

Keeper has been level with Encosta de Lago for the past couple of weeks, but edged clear of his big-name rival last night when Eagle Spirit (Keeper ex Enchanted Angel, by Rory’s Jester) won the HK$900,000 Cuhk Alumni Cup (C3, 2000m) at Sha Tin.

Keeper has sired 12 individual winners in Hong Kong so far this season from 23 runners.  Collectively this group of horses has won prize money of HK$10,328,312.

Last night’s win was the third for Eagle Spirit.  Bred by Trelawney Stud, Eagle Spirit was known as ‘Unlock’ in New Zealand when trained by Allan Sharrock for N H & R T Stanley.
