The Keeper five-year-old mare,
Keepit Rahtwo, was too good for her rivals in the Denis Wheeler 1600 at New Plymouth on Saturday.
Keepit Rahtwo is trained at New Plymouth by Denis Wheeler. She was ridden by Lisa Allpress who had the mare perfectly positioned throughout the 1600m race.
Keepit Rahtwo is raced by Rahotu couple Des and Norma Lowry who have bred and raced horses for many years with a great deal of success.
Keeper, who stands at Cambridge Stud, was the champion sire of 3yos in New Zealand for the 2007/08 season.
He sired two Group 1 winners last season -
Keepa Cruisin (Levin Classic) and
Insouciant (New Zealand 1000 Guineas).
