Keeper's Individual Stakes Performers Now 28

Former New Zealand galloper Keepem, by Cambridge Stud stallion Keeper,  secured his first stakes place with a third in the HK$2,300,000 Queen Mother Memorial Cup (G3) at Sha Tin on Saturday taking his sire's tally of individual stakes performers to 28.


Keepem, now racing under the name Gallant Champion, a 6 yr old gelding, was bred by Sir Patrick and Lady Hogan and is out of the unraced mare Superbly Bred.  


Keeper also scored a double at New Zealand race meetings this weekend.


Liquore (Zambuca(Zabeel) was successful in a highweight event at Rotorua while at the Canterbury meeting Balaq (Cheval Noir(Grosvenor) took out the Christchurch Casino Premier Gold Cup.


Balaq became the 42nd individual winner in New Zealand this season for Keeper.

Earlier in the week, at Te Rapa  the Keeper three-year-old gelding, Beau Ideal, scored the first win of his racing career.


Keeper has now had  more than 150 runners in 9 countries, is the sire of 4 individual Group 1 winners and 14 Individual Stakes winners.
