Kroner (Viking Ruler x Monroe Magic) appears to be back on track after winning the $70,000 Fujitsu Hcp over 1100m at Randwick on Saturday.
Sitting just off the speed the 4 year old gelding was able to quicken in the heavy conditions going clear in the home straight.
A strong finish by Posadas over the finishing strides did not deter Kroner who hung on for the win by 1 1/2 lengths.
The Bart Cummings trained Kroner now has five wins, including the Listed AJC Hall Mark Stakes in April this year.
Kroner's sire, Viking Ruler stands at a fee of $6500 plus GST this season.
