Massive Turnout For Cambridge Stud Open Day

24 Jul 2010

As predicted, a picture perfect day saw a massive turnout of around 600 people to Cambridge Stud's open day today.

With all four stallions paraded looking in outstanding condition the crowd were not disappointed.

As promised a promotion to give away stallion nominations to newcomer Tavistock, proven sire Keeper and second season sire Lucky Unicorn, saw an enthusiastic response from those present with nearly 400 entered in the draw.

A very excited, Elizabeth Allen from Auckland was lost for words when her name was drawn to recieve a free nomination to dual Group One winning sprinter Tavistock.

As a  new breeder it will certainly help kick-start her introduction to the industry.

The Lucky Unicorn nomination went to Ohaupo's Chris Chamberlain and Mimi Lloyd of Matamata was the lucky recipient of the Keeper nomination.

Keen interest was shown in all stallions with first season-sire Tavistock being shown several times to prospective breeders.

Champion stallion Zabeel, looking nowhere near his rising 24 years, was a special treat for those who would not often get to see the super-sire up close and personal.
