Proven sire Stravinsky, who shuttled to Cambridge Stud, sired a winning double at today's Matamata meeting.
Stravinsky's winners were El Chico and first-time winner Waitoki Lad
El Chico continued a fine run of form by winning the Electrico 1400 in easy fashion. The John Sargent-trained four-year-old cleared right out from his rivals in the concluding stages to win by three and a quarter lengths. He is owned by Haunui Farm Ltd and R Lam.
El Chico was ridden by apprentice jockey Masa Tanaka.
The other winner was the Mark Walker-trained Waitoki Lad who also won very easily in the 1200m Matamata Tyre Services Limited 1200.
Waitoki Lad was ridden by Michael Coleman who had won the Avondale Cup 24 hours earlier on Tinseltown.
