New Winner For One Cool Cat In Britain

9 May 2009

Gertmegalush became the 40th individual winner sired by Cambridge Stud shuttle stallion One Cool Cat at the weekend.

The two-year-old gelding  triumphed in the Thirsk 2YO Seller at Thirsk Racecourse in North Yorkshire on Saturday in his second race-day appearance.

Gertmegalush is a half-brother to two winners and is the fifth foal of his dam, Aiming Upwards (by Blushing Flame).

Aiming Upwards was unraced and is a half-sister to the Listed July Trophy winner, Alphard, and to six other winners.

Their dam, Julia Flyte, was successful as a two-year-old and is a half-sister to the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes winner, Miss Petard.

This is the same family as the Group 1 winners, Avonbridge, Patavellian, Pelder and Oath.
