Cambridge Stud sire Keeper recorded a notable double with his progeny at New Zealand race-meetings today.
At the Auckland Racing Club's meeting at Ellerslie, the Keeper four-year-old mare Keepaflyin, pictured below,
was an impressive winner of the $20,000 New Zealand Herald 1400 (1400m) winning by one-and-a-quarter lengths.
By Keeper from Mystic Flight, Keepaflyin was ridden by Jason Waddell and is trained at Te Awamutu by the combination of father-and-son Keith and Brendon Hawtin along with Stephen Autridge/
At the Canterbury Jockey Club meeting at Riccarton the honours in the Lion Foundation Rating 1800 went the way of Bargain Hunter (Keeper x Dawn Run) who is trained by Joanne Hillis at Wingatui.
