One Cool Cat arrived safe and sound at Cambridge Stud today looking fit and well.

The exciting young stallion One Cool Cat already has a full book  this season and Sir Patrick said the quality of the mares is very high.

One Cool Cat was the leading New Zealand-based first season sire at the Karaka Yearling Sales earlier this year with his progeny selling for up to $925,000.

He also topped the sires list (by average 3 or more lots sold) at the annual South Island Sale of two-year-olds held in Christchurch earlier this month.

His first northern hemisphere crop have proved hugely successful this year, with three new season two-year-olds sold at the South Island Sale for an aggregate of $133,000 - representing an average price of $44,333.

The highest price paid for a One Cool Cat at the sale was $52,000 for a colt ex Sweetliner sold from the draft of Te Mania Thoroughbreds.

One Cool Cat, a dual Group 1 winning son of Storm Cat, is already the sire of 13 individual winners in the northern hemisphere - including four individual stakes winners.
