One Cool Cat 3 yr old El Jay Macavity made an impressive debut winning by 8 lengths at Clairwood in South Africa on Sunday (30.8.09) and running the fastest time of the day over the 1200m distance.
El Jay Macavity is the half brother to stakes winner and young sire Churchill Downs.
Out of Silken Whisper (Diesis), the 3yr old colt was purchased at the 2008 NZB Premier Sale by Cunha Racing from the draft of Lyndhurst Farm for $160,000.
One Cool Cat will not shuttle to Cambridge Stud this year but the option remains open for him to return for the 2010 season.
