Veteran Matamata trainer Jack Tims and Te Awamutu jockey Mark Sweeney celebrated another success together on the racetrack when
Keeping (Keeper x Kharibiya) got home to easily win the See You At De Bier Hous 1600 at Tauranga on Saturday.
Tims and Sweeney have enjoyed a successful combination over many years highlighted by their Auckland Cup win with Senator in 1996. In the same year Senator was fourth in the Melbourne Cup.
Keeping has won twice and recorded three minor placings from 10 appearances to date in his racing career.
Keeping has a strong northern hemisphere pedigree which includes the Group 1 winners Khariyda, Turtle Bowl and Caerlina.
