Red Ruler Interest In Derby For Cambridge Stud

There will be plenty of focus for Cambridge Stud on Saturday's A$1.8 million Australian (AJC) Derby (2400m) with the appearance of John Sargent-trained
Red Ruler.

Red Ruler, the winner of the Group 2 Lexus Championship Stakes at Ellerslie this season, will line up in the Group 1 three-year-old classic after an encouraging last-start performance in the Rosehill Guineas in which he was making strong progress at the finish.

Red Ruler is a son of Cambridge Stud reverse shuttle sire
Viking Ruler who has made a very promising start to his career at stud.

The blue riband event, the AJC Derby has been kind to Cambridge Stud sires before with Don Eduardo (by Zabeel) winning the feature.

Australian bookmakers are not overlooking Red Ruler's chances in their AJC Derby betting markets. Currently Red Ruler is on the fourth line of betting.
