14 May 2010

Keepin’ the Dream, a five-year-old son of Keeper and Irish Nassie (Nassipour) recorded his second black type win for the season when taking out yesterday’s Listed Scone Cup (1600m) in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales.

Last November Keepin’ the Dream posted his most important win when taking out the Hawkesbury Gold Cup-Gr.3 (1600m).

Keepin’ the Dream is one of 14 individual black type winners for Keeper.  According to figures provided by Arion Pedigrees (www.arion.co.nz), Keeper is the sire of 156 winners worldwide from 243 runners.

It’s been another excellent season for the stock of Keeper, highlighted by the win of Keep the Peace in the Group One Wellfield New Zealand Oaks at Trentham Gardens.

Keeper’s fee for 2010 has been set at $15,000 + gst (lfg), up from $12,000 last year.  The son of Danehill stands alongside Zabeel, Lucky Unicorn and newcomer Tavistock.
