Stravinsky Back In Spotlight

20 Mar 2011

Tuxedo Moon became the 66th individual black type winner for his sire Stravinsky when taking out last night’s Merlion Trophy-Sing3 (1200m) at the Kranji racecourse in Singapore.

Stravinsky’s next available, and last Southern Hemisphere, crop of yearlings will be sold at the 2012 round of sales across Australasia.

The proven stallion underwent his last shuttle to Cambridge Stud two seasons ago and is not expected to return for service in this part of the world.

Tuxedo Moon (Stravinsky ex Jennifer Rush, by Prince Echo) has now won 8 of his 23 starts.  He was bred to be good, being from a multiple stakeswinning mare and a half-brother to the NZ 1000 Guineas winner Emerald.
