Strong Demand For Progeny of Cambridge Stud Shuttler

8 Jan 2010

The progeny of Stravinsky were in keen demand at the first three sessions of the Magic Millions Sale at the Gold Coast this week, averaging A$204,000 from the five to sell.

Leading the way for Stravinsky was the filly from Irongail offered by Widden Stud and sold to BBA of Ireland for A$520,000.

The dam, by Canny Lad, won 7 races including the Listed MRC Summond Stakes.

Stravinsky also had a A$200,000 sale for the colt from Mariana and A$170,000 for the colt from Eccentricity.

Stravinsky has recently completed a return shuttle to Cambridge Stud having missed the 2007 season due to the Equine Influence outbreak in Australia, while he didn't return from Japan last year due to quarantine complications.

Stravinsky has an elite draft of just 4 yearlings at Karaka 2010 - 2 colts and 2 fillies.

Cambridge Stud will offer a filly from Looming and a colt from Cinnadream while Curraghmore Stud has a filly from Little Dorrit and a colt from Isle of Gibraltar.
