Rainbow Styling's victory in the Listed Tattersall's Club Cup at Randwick in Sydney on New Year's Day continued the outstanding run of recent results for Cambridge Stud's champion stallion Zabeel.

New Zealand's number one stallion has sired three brand new black type winners in the space of the last three weeks taking his individual stakeswinner tally to 124, just 6 short of the lifetime effort of his own sire, Sir Tristram.

Scouting Wide became SW number 122 for Zabeel when winning the STC Christmas Cup-LR on the 12
th of December.

The next new black type winner was the filly Zarzuela who outgunned her 3YO male rivals to take the Great Northern Guineas-Gr.2 at Ellerslie on Boxing Day.

Trained by Team Hawkes and ridden by Jim Cassidy, Rainbow Styling (Zabeel ex Done That, by Centaine) won the Tattersall's Club Cup (2000m) by a length.

It was the most important of his 5 wins from 19 starts to date and took his earnings to A$289,830.

Rainbow Styling looked good at three years, running fourth in the Queensland Derby-Gr.1 behind Riva San, Petushki and Moatize.
