The Chris Waller-trained Brayroan (Zabeel ex Compulsion, by Danehill) looked an emerging talent at four years last season winning five of his nine starts.
The most recent of those wins was in July last year and the now five year old resumes tomorrow at Warwick Farm in a Benchmark 90 event over 1300 metres.
Brayroan has had a couple of recent trials to fit him for his return to racing and will be ridden by Jim Cassidy.
Brayroan’s dam won a Blue Diamond Prelude-Gr.3 and is a sister to Merlene, the 1996 winner of the Golden Slipper Stakes-Gr.1.
This is also the family of the VRC Newmarket Handicap-Gr.1 winner Miss Pennymoney.
