Cambridge Stud-bred Ruud Not Too is on track for a crack at this month's Gr.1 Harcourts Thorndon Mile at Trentham.

Bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan, Bernadini four-year-old mare Ruud Not Too racked up her biggest win when she claimed the Gr.2 Rich Hill Mile at Ellerslie on New Year's Day, having won the inaugural running of the Dunstan Feeds Rising Stars Championship Final at the venue just six days earlier.

The Stephen Marsh-trained Ruud Not Too has now won five of her 13 starts and was second to Capella in last year's Gr.2 Cambridge Stud Eight Carat Classic (1600m) at Ellerslie.

She is out of the O'Reilly mare Too Many Diamonds, a daughter of the Sir Tristram mare Diamond Cashel.

Albert Bosma, who manages the Go Racing syndicate that races Ruud Not Too, said the Gr.1 Herbie Dyke Stakes (2000m) at Te Rapa in February would also be considered for her current campaign. ? NZ Racing Desk
