The top five sellers at the 2011 Karaka Premier Sale were all provided by Cambridge Stud, with David Ellis buying the top lot - the Red Ransom ex Nureyev's Girl colt for $875,000.
This year's sale provided a special milestone for Cambridge Stud, being the National Sale's Leading Vendor for the 30th year straight.
Zabeel again made his mark.
Not only were four of the top ten sellers by Cambridge Stud's champion sire, but he was also the Premier Session's leading sire by average. His 27 yearlings to sell brought an average price of NZ$346,111.
