Super Sire Zabeel took his individual tally of black type winners to 134 yesterday when siring Listed Race winners on both sides of the Tasman.
Champion Sire Zabeel

Maluckyday (ex Natalie Wood, by Yachtie) was an easy winner of the Tatts Club Cup (2400m) at Randwick, while Royal Era (ex Tudor Era, by Nassipour) gunned down Sir Slick to win the Rotorua Plate (1950m) at Arawa Park.

Maluckyday was a $625,000 graduate of the 2008 NZB Karaka Premier Sale, having been bred and sold by The Oaks Stud.  Trained by Team Hawkes for Nick Moraitis, Maluckyday has now won 4 of his 7 starts and has been placed at the other three outings.

Royal Era, who is trained by Richard French, is also lightly race and has now won 5 of her 12 starts.

For the record, Zabeel’s 134 individual stakeswinners puts him 4 clear of his own sire Sir Tristram.
