This year's Hong Kong Horse Of The Year
Vengeance Of Rain (NZ) (Zabeel x Danelagh by Danehill) will be racing against the world's best horses in Europe next year.

Vengeance Of Rain (NZ) made a guest appearance at Cambridge Stud in New Zealand on Sunday before a crowd of more than 200 people who were attending a stallion parade which featured his champion sire,
Zabeel (NZ).

Sir Patrick Hogan of Cambridge Stud said it had been indicated to him by the trainer of Vengeance Of Rain, David Ferraris, that the 7-year-old gelding will head to England next year to race before being retired permanently to Cambridge Stud.

A six-time Group 1 winner, Vengeance Of Rain will return to Hong Kong in about one month's time to be prepared for another assault on the Group 1 Hong Kong Cup in December, a race which he won two years ago.

Vengeance Of Rain (NZ) won the world's richest turf race, the US$5 million Dubai Sheema Classic, at the World Cup meeting in Dubai in March.

He is currently rated the fourth-equal top racehorse in the world with a rating of 122 on the official 2006/07 world thoroughbred racehorse rankings.

Vengeance Of Rain (NZ) is poised to become the greatest-earning New Zealand-bred horse of all time as he is currently only in arrears of champion racemare
Sunline (NZ) (Desert Sun x Songline by Western Symphony) in terms of prize-money won.

Another highlight of the Cambridge Stud stallion parade was the appearance of the farm's first-season sire, Lucky Unicorn, who is a stakes-winning son of boom sire Redoute's Choice.
