Up and coming Danehill sire, Viking Ruler, is starting to show his form producing winners in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
To date, Viking Ruler has produced 15 winners in New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, Great Britain, Ireland, Singapore and Italy.
The month of November proved a successful one for Viking Ruler producing five winners, two of them first start runners.
Red Ruler, a 3 yr old colt out of Ransom Bay (Red Ransom) won his first start at Egmont in the 1200m Streets Motel Maiden on 21 November. Likewise, a first start for Our Cannavaro (Soleil Etoile (Star Way) proved successful for the 3 yr old gelding when he won the Palace Hotel 1600m at Te Aroha on 28 November.
Three yr old fily, Vikette (Yildirine (LEmigrant) was a second start winner in the Gillespie Real Estate Maiden for Fillies and Mares over 1400m at Dargaville on 16 November.
In keeping with his international reach, two New Zealand bred Viking Ruler gelding's, Aaragon (Stormy Alley (Summer Squall) and King Fury (Stylish Malt (Stylish Century) both placed 2nd in separate races in Singapore on 2nd December. And winners in Italy and Ireland with Viking Med (Bright Blue (Linamix) and Viking Fire (Rusti la Russe (Rusticaro) respectively rounded off a very successful few weeks.
Cambridge Stud will present ten Viking Ruler yearlings in the Select sale at Karaka in 2008.
