Six O’Clock News (Zabeel ex Maurine, by Harbor Prince) bounced back to his best form with a hard-fought victory over Roi D’jeu and Hold It Harvey in yesterday’s Mills Reef Winery Trentham Stakes-Gr.3 (2100m).

Ridden by visiting Sydney hoop Nash Rawiller, Six O’Clock News will now back up in next Saturday’s $200,000 Pacific Jewellers Wellington Cup-Gr.2 (2400m), where he is currently rated a $10 chance by the NZ TAB bookmakers.

Bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan in conjunction with Graham, Helen-Gaye and Kylie Bax, Six O’Clock News is prepared at Cambridge by Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.

The 7YO has now won 7 of his 49 starts and has prize money which exceeds $400,000.
