Super Sire Zabeel is maintaining a clear lead in both the Australian and New Zealand Broodmare Sire Premierships.
Latest figures supplied by Arion Pedigrees (www.arion.co.nz) has Zabeel nearly A$1m clear of Danehill on the Australian list. Zabeel is the dam sire of 124 individual winners in the season to date in Australia. Collectively this group has won 175 races for prize money of A$7,599,765.
The NZ list paints a similar picture with Zabeel holding a commanding lead over his nearest rival, Centaine (dam sire of Jimmy Choux). The stock from Zabeel mares have won 70 races in NZ so far this season, with the NZ 1000 Guineas & Eight Carat Classic winner, Planet Rock, leading the way for Zabeel.
