2nd trial winner for Tavistock

First Season stallion Tavistock has sired his second trial winner from as many runners.

The latest result came today when his gelded son from Bagalollies (by Zabeel) took out a 2YO Catchweight over 600 metres at the Foxton Trials.

The win today comes hard off the back of Tavistock’s very first trial runner, a filly from Miraculous Miss (by Exceed and Excel), winning her trial at Te Teko a week ago.

“It’s a great start for Tavistock; the $8,000 fee is starting to look pretty attractive now,” enthused Sir Patrick Hogan at Cambridge Stud today.

Appropriately, the gelding who won today is trained by Andrew Campbell who saddled up Tavistock during his racing career to win 6 races including 2 at Group One level.

Tavistock was the Leading First Season Sire at this year’s New Zealand Karaka Premier Sale with his stock selling up to $270,000 for an average price of $136,000 (10 sold).
