The John O’Shea-trained
Sworn To Secrecy (Keeper ex Heartache, by Casual Lies) impressed with an authoritative win in today’s Group Two Emancipation Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick.

Sworn To Secrecy was the only three-year-old in the field and accounted for her older rivals with remarkable ease, landing the A$175,000 prize on Sydney Cup Day.

Originally trained in New Zealand by Andrew Scott, Sworn To Secrecy was sold to Australian connections in November and has been a progressive horse under O’Shea’s guidance.  She was placed in the Canberra Guineas-LR and Phar Lap Stakes-Gr.2 and got her due reward against the older horses today.

Sworn To Secrecy becomes the 20th individual black type winner for her sire and the 12th at Group Race level.

Keeper’s service fee for the 2011 season has recently been announced at $17,500 + gst (LFG), up from $15,000 last year.

Keeper - his key performers this season have been Midnight Oil (NZ Oaks), Keep The Peace (dual Gr.1 winner) and Sworn To Secrecy (Sydney Gr.2)
