27 Feb 2021Progressive 3-year-old Snapper has taken time to settle into his new surroundings and is now thriving. That is evidenced by his form this year with the Cambridge Stud graduate unbeaten in two outings.
Both of the Michael Moroney-trained gelding’s recent winning runs have been at Moonee Valley.
Snapper’s success is no surprise as he looked a top future prospect during his brief New Zealanbd career. In three appearances he placed in the G2 Matamata Slipper and was fifth in the G1 Sistema.
He was bought out of Cambridge Stud’s draft at Karaka for $60,000 and is a son of Onlyarose.
She was a multiple winner and stakes placed and from the legendary Eight Carat family. Onlyarose’s Almanzor colt sold to Graeme Rogerson for $300,000 this year and she is in foal to Deep Field.
