Zabeel won four Group Races with his daughters on Saturday and two of them were Group One victories.
Atlantic Jewel (Fastnet Rock ex Regards, by ZABEEL) won the ATC All Aged Stakes-Gr.1 (1400m) in Sydney while in Adelaide Invest (Dehere ex Unearthly, by ZABEEL) won the SAJC Schweppes Oaks-Gr.1 (2000m).
On this side of the Tasman Dolmabache (Redoute’s Choice ex Our Echezeaux, by ZABEEL) won the Group 2 Travis Stakes (2000m) at Te Rapa and Burgundy (Redoute’s Choice ex Grand Echezeaux, by ZABEEL) won the Group 3 Cambridge Breeders’ Stakes (1200m) on the same programme.
For good measure on the same day, Zabeel notched up his 141st individual black type winner when So Pristine (ex Pristine Kristine, by Spinning World) won the SAJC Queen of the South Stakes-Gr.2 for Peter Moody.
Another highlight for Zabeel on Saturday was the remarkable performance of Efficient to run second in the Sydney Cup-Gr.1.
