Flying Unicorn (Lucky Unicorn ex Redzabetta, by Centaine) won his fourth start in Hong Kong on Wednesday, taking out the HKJC Dorset Handicap over 1650m for trainer Anthony Millard.

Flying Unicorn is a three-year-old from the first crop of Lucky Unicorn.  He was the first runner for his sire in Hong Kong and has done Lucky Unicorn proud, winning 4 of his 11 starts to date and being placed second on 2 occasions.

Meanwhile, closer to home, Johnny Key (Lucky Unicorn ex Cinch, by Cryptoclearance), was successful over a middle distance journey at Pukekohe on Anzac Day.  Capital Diamond, who was placed third in the NZ 1000 Guineas this season and finished third in the NZB 3YO Filly of the Year Series, is another from the first crop of Lucky Unicorn.

Lucky Unicorn has been strongly supported at Cambridge Stud, coving 556 mares in his first five seasons at stud.

Like Stratum (sire of Crystal Lily & Streama), Lucky Unicorn is a sire-son of Redoute’s Choice.
