Jeu de Cartes (Stravinsky ex Prized Gem, by Prized) became the 71st individual black type winner for her sire when taking out last Saturday’s Listed CJC Spring Classic (2000m) at Riccarton Park.

It was the 7th win for the Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained mare who is a half-sister to the Australian Derby-Gr.1 winner Nom du Jeu (by Montjeu).  Their dam, Prized Gem, won 9 races including the Kelt Capital Stakes and Brisbane Cup at Group One level.

Stravinsky is closing in on a special milestone, being just 4 individual winners short of a worldwide tally of 800 individual winners.  His 796 winners to date are spread across 30 countries including Australia (201), New Zealand (140), America (133) and Japan (138).

Stravinsky is also already proven as a broodmare sire, being the damsire of Mosheen who won 4 Group One races last season and returned to form with a stylish victory in last Saturday’s VRC Blazer Stakes-Gr.2 for trainer Robert Smerdon.
