The Cambridge Stud-bred Able One returned to his best form with a narrow win in last night’s HK$3m Chairman’s Trophy-HKG2 at Sha Tin.
It was the first win for Able One (Cape Cross ex Gardenia, by Danehill) since taking out the HKG3 Premier Cup in June 2008.
A graduate of the 2004 Karaka Ready to Run Sale, Able One has a record of 7 wins and 3 placings from 29 starts. His major win was the 2007 Champions Mile-Gr.1, while he also split Good Ba Ba and fellow kiwi Egyptian Ra in the 2008 Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Mile-Gr.1.
Able One is prepared by John Moore and was ridden to victory last night by Darren Beadman.
