Cambridge Stud's young gun sire Tavistock had a new winner in New Zealand on Friday and an impressive result in Melbourne on Saturday.

The success on the local front came on debut when From Eden (Tavistock ex Drama Queen, by Prince of Praise) won a Maiden 1200m at Taupo.

Trained by Wayne Hillis and Shaun Kesner at Matamata, From Eden takes Tavistock's individual winners tally to 34.

Meanwhile at Caulfield on Saturday Tarzino (Tavistock ex Zarzino, by Zabeel) made it back to back wins for trainer Mick Price.  The three year old colt came from a long way back to score with authority.

Tarzino was bred by Sir Patrick and Justine, Lady Hogan and sold at the 2014 Karaka Select Sale for $45,000.

Another pleasing result for Cambridge Stud over the weekend was Preferment's Group Two Hill Stakes (2000m) victory at Randwick for Chris Waller.

A son of Zabeel and Better Alternative and last season's Victoria Derby winner, Preferment was purchased from the Cambridge Stud consignment at the 2013 Karaka Premier Sale.
