Cambridge Stud and Haras d’Etreham joined forces again at Tattersalls October Yearling Sale overnight.

They teamed up to pay 100,000 guineas (NZ$205,000) for a son of their shuttle stallion Almanzor.

Offered by Highclere Stud, the colt is a son of the Listed Silken Glider Stakes winner Gemstone.

She is a Galileo mare who has also produced UAE Jewel, successful in the Listed Lightning Spear Stakes winner.

The colt will go into training with Kevin Ryan, who trained Hello Youmzain to win the Gr.1 Diamond Jubilee for the Cambridge/Etreham partnership.

The top-priced Almanzor on day one of the auction changed hands for 150,000 guineas (NZ$305,000).

The colt was offered by Jamie Railton and snapped up by leading American agent Mike Ryan.

He is out of Fast Lily and a half-brother to Group-winning siblings Silk Blossom and Mashoora.
