Almanzor filly an Easter special

Almanzor filly an Easter special4 Apr 2023

Our cracking daughter of Almanzor proved to be the star of our small, but select draft at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale at the Riverside Stables.

She was offered as Lot 2 and the pre-auction interest in the filly flowed into the ring with Summertime Holding having the final say when she was knocked down the New South Wales operation for A$340,000.

From the legendary Eight Carat family, the youngster is a half-sister to the Listed Oaks Prelude winner Miss Ella.
They are out of the Zabeel mare Zenella, who was successful on two occasions and finished runner-up in the G1 Queensland Oaks and has a 100 percent record at stud with all four of her foals to race having won.

A half-sister to Group winners Forever Loved and Zephyron, Zenella produced a colt last season by Almanzor before a return visit to our Group 1-winning son of Wootton Bassett.

Congratulations also to Lindsay Park Racing who secured our Pierata filly, Lot 298, for A$160,000.
She is out of the English-bred Street Cry mare Rose Poem, who is a sister to the multiple stakes winner Fencing.

Their dam Latice was a champion French three-year-old and successful in the G1 French Oaks while the multiple Group 1 winner and successful sire Lawman also features on the pedigree page.
